Merces, Goa
Merces is a village in Goa situated in Ilhas, in the North Goa district. It is located near Panjim and Santa Cruz, the state's main city.The village of Merces is well connected with various tourist destinations such as Bambolim, Panjim, Miramar and Caranzalem. It is well known among the people of Goa due to a famous wedding venue situated here known as Alua Merces.
The school here is known as the Our Lady of Merces High School. For accommodation there are a number of houses and villas to rent. One can also get bikes for hire here to visit nearby places.〔http://www.goaholidayhomes.com/information/merces.html〕
The village of Merces is politically connected with the adjoining village of Santa Cruz having a common MLA.
